IT Technology Update: GroupWise Auto Archive to be deactivated until April

December 20, 2011

As part of the Windows 7/Active Directory upgrade, Auto Archiving for GroupWise e-mail will be temporarily be turned off for all accounts.
Auto archiving will be turned off for all accounts on December 22nd, and remain off for the length of the project. (Estimated to be completed in April) E-mail will continue to stay in your in box for 183 days.
After 183 days, email will auto delete unless you manually archive the messages.

IT Technology update: Self Service Password Resets for Network/Bb logins is live.

The IT department has provided a self-serve password change website that will adhere to the new password policy requirements.

All student, staff and faculty now have the ability to reset their own Network/Blackboard passwords. It is no longer necessary to contact IT Customer Support for this service. (Password changes for PeopleSoft systems will still require manual assistance.)

From any web browser, visit grcc.edu/pwd and complete the password reset process. Links to this tool are now on Blackboard and IT Customer Support websites.

Resolved: IT– Technology Issue~ Comcast blocking GRCC email (12/20/2011)

Technology Issue Notice:

All issues with sending messages to the @comcast.net domain have been resolved.

Technology Issue Notice: Messages being delivered to @comcast.net are being returned as undelieverable.
GRCC has been blacklisted by Comcast and are not accepting any incoming messages from @grcc.edu into their domain. Our engineers are working with Comcast to have this resolved as soon as possible.
